DIRECTIONS TO OTHER SCHOOLS

Directions for most of the schools listed below came from their web sites or from other sources. Due to changing roads and community growth, we recommend checking that the route information is still current before traveling to an event.

ATHENS ACADEMY

Take Highway 78 towards Athens. Follow Highway 78 approximately 17 miles to its intersection with Ga. Highway 316. Take the Right East exit off of 78 and continue towards Athens. As you pass the Oconee Connector, (just before you get to Home Depot)-look for the UGA Football stadium sign and merge right onto the Athens By-Pass (Loop 10). Take the next exit (Watkinsville-441 South)-and turn right onto Macon Highway 441 S. At the second light, take a left into the athletic complex-you will see the baseball complex first. Continue on that road for basketball/volleyball (Spartan Center), football/ soccer stadium (Slaughter Field), tennis (just below football field next to the lake), cross country (across from football press box). If coming to the school for other than athletic events, follow the road between the two lakes and look for visitors parking on the left.

Turn right on Highway 53 until it runs into Highway 441, turn left. The school is about one or two miles on right.

Take Highway 78 toward Athens. Go past Georgia Square Mall on the left. Cross bridge and get on Loop 10. Go to end of loop 10, cross bridge and loop around onto Highway 29 North. School is on Highway 29 North on the right side of the road.

Turn right off Highway 78 onto Highway 316. Take Highway 29 North and stay straight.

From I-20 East: Take Wheeler Road exit and turn left at light off of exit ramp. Continue on Wheeler Road, which eventually turns into Flowing Wells Road. Continue on Flowing Wells to school on left. The Gym and the fields are located at the rear of the campus. Please park in the Upper School lot.

Begin on I-20 East toward Augusta. Exit at the Siloam/Union exit and turn right. Go about one-half mile to the dead end. You will see a gas station on the left. There is either a blinking light or a red light there. Turn left. This road will take you to Sparta. The road will dead end at the Courthouse. Turn left. Follow this road about a mile, then bear right onto Highway 15. (If you get to the Baptist Church, you have gone too far.) Go on this road for 25 miles until you come to Fall Line Freeway which is a four lane road. You will see a sign to Sandersville. Take a right and go one-half mile. Turn left at caution onto Linton Road. School is 100 yards on the right.

Go through Worthing and you will come into Sandersville. Pass the hospital which will be on the left. You will come to a traffic light, turn left on McCarty Street. The recreation department is several miles down. There will be a blue sign on the right that says Rec. Department. Turn right at the sign and the field will be on the left.

NORTH FROM ATLANTA: Take I-75 south to exit 160A, which will loop around onto Pio Nono Avenue, this is also Highway 247. At the second red light the road will bear to the right, this is still Highway 247. The Church/School is approximately 5 miles out on the left. You will pass the entrance to the Middle Georgia Regional Airport on your right, continue a half mile and you will see the large Kohl's warehouse on your left, continue another 1/4 mile and you will see the north entrance to Central Fellowship. Turn left and enter at the back gate of the property by the playground.

Go south on Highway 11 to Monticello and take Highway 83 to Forsyth. Get on I-75 South and go to 475 bypass for Macon. Take the bypass until it joins I-75 South. Take I-75 South to Cordele. Exit onto the GA 300/Georgia Florida Parkway to Albany. Pass the Miller Brewing Company and go to the first traffic light. Turn right. Go through the next traffic light, and then get on the 19 bypass going north. Go until the Nottingham Way exit. Turn left on to Nottingham Way and go to the second traffic light at the corner of Stewart Avenue and Nottingham Way. Deerfield Windsor is on the left.

Take I-75 to Exit 269 Barrett Parkway Kennesaw. Travel west for 4.5 miles to Burnt Hickory Road. Turn right onto Burnt Hickory. Travel 2.8 miles to traffic light. Turn right onto Due West Road. Travel .3 miles (through traffic light) and turn left onto Burnt Hickory. Travel 1.2 miles to Dominion Christian High School on left.

Get on the Bypass in Athens and take 441-North. Continue going towards Commerce. You will see a Fairway Mobile Homes on the left. As you pass Fairway Mobile Homes, there will be a road on the left called Hoods Mill Road. Take a left on Hoods Mill Road. You will come to a 4-way stop. This will be the intersection of Waterworks and Hoods Mill. Cross over straight and on your right will be the school.

Take Highway 11 South to Monticello, go to Forsyth (Highway 83). Take I-75 South to the Bass Road exit. Turn right. Go through two 4-way stop signs. At the red light, go straight. This road becomes Foster Road. The school is on the right after the intersection.

Take I-75 South to exit #55A (Arkwright Road). Turn right off the exit and get in the left lane. Turn left onto Riverside Drive. Continue on Riverside about 2 miles. Turn right on Wimbish Road. (Jackson Olds and Sun Trust Bank on the corners.) Pass Ingleside Baptist Church on the right and turn right on North Macon Park Street. North Park Street is first street on right past Ingleside Baptist Church.

GEORGIA CHILDREN'S HOME IN MACON
For Cross-Country Meets
Take 475 South to exit #9 (Zebulon Road). Go to the stop sign and turn left (toward McDonald's, and Wendy's). Go to the third traffic light. This is Foster Road. Turn right onto Foster Road. Foster Road dead ends into Tucker Road. On Tucker Road, go left approximately 2 miles. Go straight veering to the right. Take first road on right (Mumford Road). You will see brown cabins. Georgia Children's Home is on the right.

Travel on Interstate 20 to Highway 441. Turn right. Go through Eatonton to Milledgeville. As you come into Milledgeville, you will see a Jet Food Store and Oakwood Mobile Home store on the left. Take a left on Log Cabin Road. School is 1.5 miles down the road on the right.

KNIGHTS FIELD

Take I-20 West to I-285 South to I-75. Go approximately 3-5 miles to exit #235 (U.S. Highway 19 & 41, also known as the Jonesboro/Griffin exit). You will make no turns here as the exit veers to the right off I-75 South. Stay on this road approximately 12-15 miles, going through Jonesboro and all of the business district. After you get through Jonesboro, you will be out in the country, passing by some various businesses here and there. Keep going until you come to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, which will be on your right. Directly across from it you will see an AmocoBP convenience store; turn left on the road next to it. Go one mile into Hampton, going to the second set of stop signs. Turn left at the second set. You will now have a set of train tracks running parallel to the road on your right. Go ¼ to ½ mile out of town to the ballpark, which will be on your left, and sitting back off the road. (There are new softball fields being built out by the road.) Look for the bright royal blue jerseys on the second field on the left.

Travel on I-75 South to I-475. Exit on Thomaston Road/Highway 74, exit #5, and turn right. Immediately take the first street on the left. You will see a Travel Lodge. You will be on Interstate Parkway. The football field is two or three miles down this road on the right.

At light, turn right, onto North Main Street. This is also Old 41 Highway (or Highway 293). Go 3.1 miles. Turn left just before the Citgo gas station onto Lakeview Drive.

NORTH MACON PARK
Take I-75 South to exit 55-A (Arkwright Road); turn right off exit and get in left lane; turn left onto Riverside Drive; continue on Riverside Drive about 2 miles; turn right onto Wimbish Road (Jackson Olds and Sun Trust Bank on the corners); pass Ingleside Baptist Church on the right and turn right on North Macon Park Street (first street on right past Ingleside Baptist).

OCONEE MIDDLE SCHOOL
From Monroe: Take Highway 78 toward Athens to Highway 53. Turn right. Go about 4 or 5 miles. At next red light, turn left. Oconee County Middle School will be on the corner.

From Atlanta: Take I-85 north from Atlanta to exit 113 (I-985) to Gainesville. Once on I-985, proceed for 22 miles and take exit 22. At the top of the exit ramp, turn left (west) onto Hwy. 129 toward Gainesville.
Continue straight on Hwy. 129 as it becomes Hwy. 129 Business Route. Proceed through the downtown area of Gainesville and the old historic homes section (Green Street). At the end of the historic homes section, the road forks. Take the right fork at the Civic Center and stay on Hwy. 129-Business toward Cleveland. After the fork, take the second left onto Riverside Drive (do not take the first left onto Riverside Terrace). There is a sign for Riverside Military Academy. Riverside is one mile ahead on Riverside Drive.

Take I-75 South from Macon to Cordele. Turn right at exit #32 onto Highway 300. Proceed to Albany. After passing the Miller Brewing Company turn right at the first traffic light. Go through one traffic light, under the expressway, and turn right onto 19/300 South. You will loop around to head south. Go to the second exit which is Moultrie-Albany exit. Exit to the right. After approximately one-half mile, the four lane road will bear to the left. This is Oakridge Drive. Stay on Oakridge for approximately 5 miles. Go through 7 traffic light and there will be a trailer park on the right of Oakridge. Turn left onto Old Pretoria Road. Go approximately four miles out old Pretoria Road. The school is on the left. Turn into the first drive to get to the sports complex.

Travel on Highway 23 from Jackson. Go south to Macon. Watch for ASK Antiques on right. Bear right on the road directly past the antique store which is Wesleyan Road. Continue on Wesleyan Road crossing over four lanes and through a subdivision. Watch for small Tattnall Square sign on right.

Travel I-75 South to Riverside/Arkwright Road, exit #55A. Turn right, go through light at Tom Hill Boulevard. This will dead end into Northside Drive. Turn right. Go through one traffic light and turn left at caution light on Wesleyan Drive. School is approximately two miles on right.
